First ever Mini Peering Forum in Hong Kong will be hosted by Internet Society Hong Kong (ISOC-HK) and Hong Kong Internet Exchange (HKIX).
Network interconnections are critical to various kinds of service providers on Internet for achieving better network performance and better cost structure. Internet exchanges such as HKIX and AMS-IX are playing a very important role in network interconnections. You can do not just multilateral peering but also bilateral peering over a public exchange platform provided by the Internet exchanges. Some Internet exchanges also help you do private interconnections.
Before you can do good network networking, you probably need to have good human networking first. This Mini Peering Forum serves these purposes and allows you to do direct human networking and at the same time, to help you share knowledge and information. So, besides the serious speaking and Q&A sessions, coffee break and after-event drinks are key components of the event.
A bit of details about the event are listed below:
Date: Jan 29, 2010 (Fri)
Time: 2:30pm to 5:30pm (Registration starts at 2.15pm)
Venue: Function Room 9-10, The Mira Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Shui (www.themirahotel.com)
