5 Major Changes Coming to the Internet in 2012 (Computer World Hong Kong)
Jan 5, 2012
2012 is poised to go down in Internet history as one of the most significant 12-month periods from both a technical and policy perspective since the late 1990s, when this network-of-networks stopped being a research project and became an engine of economic growth.

This year the Internet will face several milestones as it undergoes its biggest-ever technical upgrade, from Internet Protocol version 4 to version 6. 2012 IT spending forecast lower to 3.7 percent growth, says Gartner (Computer World Hong Kong)
Jan 9, 2012
Research firm Gartner announced last Thursday that it has lowered its 2012 IT spending forecast, with spending expected to rise only 3.7 percent, rather than the previous forecast of 4.6 percent growth.

Global IT spending in 2012 will now total US$3.8 trillion, Gartner said. Enterprise software, hardware, IT services and telecoms services and equipment will all see lower growth rates, it added. Read More

Jan 26, 2012
Twitter is giving itself the right to withhold content in specific countries, while keeping that content available for the rest of the world, the company announced Thursday.
