APNIC is hosting an IPv6 workshop (Tuesday
- Wednesday, 24 - 25 August 2010),
Internet Resource Management Policy
Discussion (Wednesday, 25 August 2010),
and the APNIC 30 Remote Participation
meeting in Hong Kong (Thursday, 26 August
2010). Internet Society Hong Kong (ISOC-HK) is
pleased to be the local host of these
events.
We warmly invite you to attend these events
in Hong Kong. Refreshments
and lunch is provided during all sessions.
Please join us for one or more of these
events.
Please note that the IRM and the APNIC 30
Remote Participation sessions are FREE of
charge.
However there is a subsidized cost for the
IPv6 workshop. (Please see below)
IPv6
Workshop
This course provides an understanding and
hands-on exposure to IPv6, its
structure, operation, and technical
features. IPv6 addressing and
architectures is discussed in detail, and
the issues related to the deployment,
transition, and co-existence with IPv4 are
examined.
This course also includes hands-on IPv6
configurations on host computers,
as well as IPv6 network building and
configuration scenarios. Participants are advised
to bring their own laptop or the hands-on
exercises.
IRM
/ Policy Training
This training course focuses on
understanding the structures, processes, procedures
and policies involved in requesting,
allocating and managing Internet addresses
(IPv4 and IPv6) and Autonomous System (AS)
numbers. The course also includes
aspects of APNIC Whois Database and
managing Reverse DNS Delegations. (FREE of
Charge)
Remote
Participation for APNIC 30
If you can't attend APNIC 30 in Gold Coast,
Australia, you can still
participate in important policy discussions
by attending the event
remotely via the Hong Kong Remote
Participation (FREE of Charge).
We are broadcasting a day of APNIC 30
Policy SIG as a live, interactive session.
Consequently, participants in
Hong Kong can watch proceedings and comment or ask
questions.
