In view of the importance of smart city, this year’s DMP will discuss the emerging smart technology and its trends as well as unveiling some of the opportunities and challenges that Hong Kong’s business faces today.

The objective of the contest is to raise the awareness of information security, adoption of security best practices to protect corporate data and personal sensitive information, and appeal to the public to be vigilant when using online services or conducting online transaction and thereby avoid falling into the trap of the criminals. The mascot design aims to arouse the public to protect data and information, and the importance to secure transaction.

There are a champion, a 1st runner-up, a 2nd runner-up and also merit prizes for each group.

Following up by the success of last year, Asia Smartphone Apps Contest 2016 is organized to to further facilitate the growth of this burgeoning sector in Asia.Objectives include:

• To recognize the excellence of innovations and efforts in developing best-of-breed smartphone apps
• To create a platform to expand business opportunities and facilitate collaboration among the smartphone app developers in Asia regions
• To nurture creative talents in the smartphone apps development industry

SocTech events create a great platform to foster communications and collaborations amongst our SocTech fellows to exchange their ideas, skill and technology.  All members of the society from any background can engage in the SocTech initiatives, including:
