“Walk21 Hong Kong Conference”, an international five-day conference co-sponsored by Walk21 a global leader in championing walking – and Civic Exchange – a renowned Asian public policy Think Tank.,  The Walk21HK CityTech Awards , the first ever award to celebrate innovations for walking, was created to showcase how the integration of “smart” elements into urban settings has changed the modern walking experience – from the integration of apps on phones, tablets and wearable gadgets to technologies that encourage new walking habits and anything in between. Eligible entrants will be informed to attend a presentation session hosted by co-organizers, 20 finalists will be recognised at the Conference on the 5th October 2016. Our Judging Panel is formed by investors, angel investors, renowned startup founders, entrepreneurs, IT experts and startup community friends.

Winning entries can achieve the followings:

    • Walk21 Hong Kong Conference
    • The opportunity to showcase your project to 500 international urban walkability experts and business leaders – a fantastic networking opportunity and a chance to meet potential investors!


      • Media and Publications
      • CityTech Awards will be introduced at the Conference’s Welcome Remarks and through press releases in the lead up to the event. This assures that winning entrants receive media attention and generate public interest.


      • Walk21HK Website
      • Each winning entry will be on the Walk21HK website which can showcase the idea and provide stakeholders with contact details and information.


      • Newsletter Announcement
      • Winning entries will be listed in our newsletter, which has a circulation of over 15,000 from both Civic Exchange’s and Internet Society Hong Kong’s databases.


      • Social Media Campaign
      • An online voting campaign will be launched in September. The 20 winning entries will be promoted on Walk21HK, Civic Exchange, Internet Society Hong Kong and all the other supporting organisations’ social media platforms.

    • Fill in the online application form not later than (HKT) 18:00 on 31 August 2016
    • Submissions from STARTUP CATEGORY should provide the following documents along with the completed online application form:

        1. A copy of Business Registration of the entrant or equivalent supporting document
        2. A copy of the Certificate of Incorporation of the entrant or equivalent supporting document (if applicable)
        3. Attachments or supplementary information (if any).

      一連五日的「香港Walk21國際會議」,由英國非牟利機構 Walk21 及香港公共政策研究智庫思匯政策研究所舉辦,以鼓勵各地城市推動步行環境為目標,為世界各地專家提供交流意見及經驗的平台。 Walk21HK CityTech Awards是「香港Walk21國際會議」的重點活動之一,旨在嘉許改善「步行」體驗或鼓勵步行習慣的創新科技產品及構思 — 當中包括,但不限於開發平板電腦及手機應用程式、穿戴裝置等科技。入圍的參賽單位將被邀請參與面試環節,獎項的評審委員會由投資者和天使投資者、創業和企業家,以及IT 專業人員等不同界別代表組成。

      向多達 500 位國際城市專家及商界領袖展示意念的機會— 擴展人脈網絡及認識其他專業層面的投資者。

      • 於Walk21HK 網站展示作品

      每位優勝者均可在 Walk21HK 網站展示其參賽構思,並將聯絡詳情及有關資料留予持份者作參考。

      • 登上電子通訊

      優勝者名單將列明於電子通訊內,並廣發予多達 15000 位思匯政策研究所及香港互聯網協會旗下的訂閱者。

      • 於社交媒體展示作品

      網上投票活動將於 9 月份舉行, 20 位優勝者資料將刊登在 Walk21HK, 思匯政策研究所及香港互聯網協會及支持機構的網上社交平台上。

      • 參加初創企業組別公司除網上表格外需同時遞以下文件:

      1. 參賽公司的商業登記證副本或相關証明文件;
